That's simply because it happens to be one of the most beautiful and romantic languages in the world. Learning to speak French is possible for everyone. For obvious reasons, it's easier for some, where the French language is used on the usual basis.

But, for those who don't, it can be quite a challenge. In order to overcome these obstacles, you should purchase a high quality audio-based program. In order to start speaking French, it's important to listen carefully to the program and repeating. This is clearly the optimum way to learn this language as quickly as possible.

Although it's important for some people to also write and read in this language, some of these programs also offer tips on learning French grammar, increasing your vocabulary, conjugating verbs, among other important aspects of learning a language.

You'll be happy to know that many of these programs offer instruction in ways that can make it interesting and fun for those who are learning the language. It isn't uncommon for people to quit because of their boredom.

Another incredible way to learn French is to pick up DVDs of movies or television shows, that might have voiceovers in French. Not only do you get to watch something interesting that you may already know what it's about, you'll also pick up on a lot of French that way.

Of course, with the Internet, many things have changed. It has also given people the ability to learn languages such as French online. Online courses are often cheaper than taking the traditional course or having a private tutor. You also get to benefit from taking a class at home rather than having to fight your way through traffic to get to your class. - 30021

About the Author:

Next check out our review of Rocket French, an affordable and effective online program for Learning to Speak French.

Learning To Speak French Via Online Courses

By Claire Benoit

When learning to speak French is your desire you have many different ways that you can do that. There are programs that are offered online that you can use over your computer. Or you can look into buying software to place on your computer. Even the use of pod learning is a great choice too.

All of these choices that you have available have their benefits, some more than others. People have even opted to placing a language program on their mp3 and learning in that way. Of all the choices you have you just really need to look around and compare them.

Using them as a way to be able to practice what you've learned on the way you've planned. Most will not be focused on teaching you a full phrase, but maybe just the general words you would need to know. So with saying that look forward to spending money to learn the language.

Most usually to really learn a language the right way you will need to spend a bit of money. But many places are out there to pick from. And most of them do have free trial periods that you can use the software and see whether you like it or not.

They want to earn your business and they will offer you a limited time that you can test the software out. This will allow you to see how the learning goes and how hard the program is in general. Also it will let you see just how much you like it and if you would rather skip paying full price for that item.

Picking the best one that you feel you can learn the most from and still have fun. Because if you are having fun you will practice more. And of course as they say practice does make perfect. Check out all your choices online and read the reviews, and try those free trial offers too. - 30021

About the Author:

Next check out our review of Rocket French, an affordable and effective online program for Learning to Speak French.

Maid Services Available For Taking Care Your Home

By Adriana Noton

Many households are looking for help to keep their homes clean on a regular basis. Maid services can go a long way to adding a little peace of mind in regards to keeping the house clean. After working long hours, cleaning the house is usually not at the top of the list of things to do. A maid service can be contracted to come in and take care of everything.

There are all types of maid services that are available for the consumer. A simple service of one person can come in do basic housecleaning, or a service can be contracted that will literally bring a cleaning team into the house and do a deep clean. These are very effective as they will often have people that specialize in different areas of the home. These are some of the services that should be included in the service.

Vacuuming - while all service will vacuum, you want to make sure that they are vacuuming properly. This means not just a pass over the obvious areas, but that furniture should be moved and the area underneath it gets vacuumed as well. The furniture should also be vacuumed to avoid a dust build up in the fabric.

Windows - sometimes, this is not part of the service, especially outside windows. Talk to the service beforehand and makes sure that this topic is covered. If your windows tilt in, make sure that they are doing the outside of them as well as the inside.

General Cleaning - this should include things such as dusting, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. However, there are things that you may want to make sure are included in this. For instance, the fridge and oven are areas that are usually neglected and then lead to a major cleaning project. Make sure that they are included in your weekly or monthly service.

Shopping and Cooking - these services are usually considered an upgrade and may not even be offered by your maid service. However, for busy couples, this service is a great advantage. The maid service will shop for the food and prepare it for the week. All that is needed is to either defrost the food or pop it in the microwave and dinner is served.

Pets - if you have pets, make sure that this is divulged to the cleaning service. People that have pets will usually require cleaning that is a little more detailed because of the pet hair that seems to get everywhere. You may also use specific deodorizers and allergy fabric sprays that will have to be applied at every visit.

Life can definitely be made easier by using a maid service for your cleaning and everyday chores. The Internet will provide a wealth of services, and from that point it is merely researching them and making sure that they are exactly what you are looking for. Instead of having to come home and roll up your sleeves, you will only have to pop dinner in the oven and put your feet up. - 30021

About the Author:

Do you need someone to keep your house clean? This fact means that kids who can speak French have an enormous career advantage over their peers. Online French for children courses are in many ways better than being taught at school for the following reasons:

1. Make sure you get an online French for children course that has downloadable audio modules. Your child can easily upload the material to an mp3 player and listen to the content as often as they liked.

This would provide your child with practical immersion. It is a well known fact that children best learn new languages when they are immersed in it. They could listen to the content when walking to school, in the car or playing video games.

2. Learning online is easy because children really enjoy it. They become truly engaged by the games on offer where they match the French words up with the pictures.

3. The best online French courses contain modules that use the four key educational elements of reading, writing, speaking and listening. This is where school goes wrong because they tend to just use reading and writing methods.

When only 2 methods are used children tend to get bored far easier as they feel less engaged. This is a big problem for the learning process as what they do learn is also more easily forgotten.

4. Children can get practical experience online that they don't tend to get at school. This tends to be by use of a forum.

Your child can make friends with other kids at their own level and chat to them in French of course! If you have a head set, they can even verbally communicate with their new French speaking friends.

5. If you opt to go for a private tutor to teach your child French, it will cost you around $40 per hour for a good tutor. For a good online French for children course, you will be looking to pay a one off fee of around 100. That's an easy decision to make! - 30021

About the Author:

To find out more information about Online French For Children courses, visit our site. This is a shame because French is a beautiful language which will give your kids many career opportunities. France is after all, the number 1 holiday destination for Americans and the number 3 for Europeans.

Do you know anything about online French for kids courses? Below are 5 reasons why online French for kids courses are far superior to traditional French teaching methods used in schools:

1. Games - The best online French for kids courses have fun interactive games your kids can play. They will become addicted to learning! Very sneaky, but it works!

2. Audio Modules - An online French for kids course with audio modules can have the content uploaded to your kid's mp3 players. Your children will learn French passively and easily with little fuss. They can listen to the material when eating, walking to school or playing on the Xbox.

3. The Four Elements - The four education elements are writing, reading, listening and speaking. Most kids struggle to learn French at school as only writing and reading are concentrated on. This lack of practical teaching is why less is learned and what has been learned is much more easily forgotten.

The best online French for kids courses will include modules from all four key educational elements meaning that your kids will find learning French much easier.

4. Online Forums - With an online forum, your kids can meet other kids their own age and skill level online. They can open chat windows and if you have a head set, can speak with their new friends, in French of course! What better way to get good at French than by using it in a practical way! Maybe you're moving to a French speaking country and you would like your kids to learn French?

Whatever your motivation for wanting your child to learn or improve upon their French speaking skills, have you ever considered a kids French online course?

Below are a few reasons why you should consider investing in a kids French online course and why they are superior to traditional teaching methods used at school:

1. Have you heard of the four elements of education? They are namely; reading, writing, speaking and listening!

For children to learn any new subject most effectively, all four elements should ideally be used! Unfortunately for languages in most western schools, only reading and writing are focused on!

The problem with this approach is that kids become bored much more easily as they feel less engaged with the learning process! Not only that, but what has been learned is much more readily forgotten!

There are kids French online courses that use all four key educational elements, which therefore solves this problem, making the learning process far more effective!

2. Most kids French online courses have downloadable audio modules so that your kids can put the material onto their mp3 players! They can listen to it as often as they like, which makes learning easy!

3. The games and exams which are provided are fun and challenging, testing your kids at every level! Something that is not easily and often enough provided at school!

4. The forums provide chat room facilities which enable your kids to make new friends with fellow French students from around the world. The can chat to them in French and gain incredible French reading and writing experience!

5. The same forums also provide facilities, as long as you have a head set, for your children to verbally communicate with their new friends. This throws the speaking and listening elements in which makes learning so much more effective!

6. You could go for a personal tutor! They are really good and typically cost around $40 per hour! However, for a one off refundable fee, you can get a kids French online course! - 30021

About the Author:

Kids French Online courses repeatedly prove themselves and give superb results at helping kids learn the beautiful French language! Maybe you would like to make sure that they get better grades?

Kids online French courses can help in an amazing way! Take a look at the following reasons why:

1. Reading, writing, speaking and listening are the four elements of education and are what is needed for any new subject to be most effectively learned by kids or even adults!

It has been found in the majority of western schools that only reading and writing are focused on when it comes to foreign languages!

This means that your kids will find it more difficult for the subject to sink in and they will become bored more easily! Not only that, but what has been learned will much more easily be forgotten!

Most kids online French courses contain modules that concentrate on all four key educational elements, making learning easier, fun and much more effective!

2. Get kids online French course that contains downloadable audio modules so that they can listen to them on their mp3 players. This subliminal learning makes the learning process convenient!

3. Learning French online is designed to be fun! Kids therefore find this much easier and effective! There are many games where points are scored. Very sneaky!

4. Online forums create an opportunity for kids to open chat windows with other French learning kids from around the world! They can write to each other in French and gain valuable experience that is sadly neglected in school!

5. The same forums also offer an opportunity for kids to speak and listen to their new friends via a head set (if you have one). This is awesome technology that should not be underestimated! This is speaking and listening in action, which kids unfortunately don't get at school!

6. You could if you wanted hire a one to one tutor for your kids! They are very effective but cost around $40 per hour! Kids online French courses are normally for a one off refundable fee! - 30021

About the Author:

Kids Online French have always proved to be very effective at teaching kids to speak French. Maybe we all should take a hint from that and apply some old time traditions into our own celebrations for the holidays?

France has Strong religious Catholic beliefs and Easter is a important holiday for everyone. The bells stop ringing within a three day period up until Easter's when all let out their glorious chimes. Everyone hugs and kisses one another once the chimes are heard all over to show peace and love as well as joy for this special day.

Kids receive eggs of tasty chocolate all over France on Easter morning. These are thought to be given to them from the Flying Bells that chime on Easter morning from the churches as they fly overhead they drop the eggs in yards and homes for the kids to find and search for that day. No cute bunny for them.

The Christmas holiday is a wonderful time in France. They hold on to age old traditions from centuries ago and incorporate those into their own celebrations. Santa Claus is called by a different name here it is Pere Noel. Children leave their shoes by the fireplace with care instead of their stockings dreaming they will be filled with toys and goodies on Christmas morning.

The Christmas trees in France have additional decoration of delightful candies and nuts on them. Sometimes candles are lit in all the windows as well on Christmas eve night. Most everyone goes to mass for Christmas eve and then all settle in to a delicious menu of turkey, chicken, French desserts, puddings and sides to bring in the joy of the season on Christmas Eve.

Bastille Day is celebrated throughout France on the fourteenth of July with parades in the streets and fireworks that go on until the night is well on its way. Townspeople gather to commemorate the mobs of angry people who stormed through this once famous Paris prison and freed the prisoners and towns from the awful things being done there.

Fireworks can be seen all over the towns on Bastille Day and last until late night. People also have dances within the streets and love parades of all kinds to celebrate this day.

Tradition is for the groom to smash the top of a bottle of champagne or wine with a saber made just for such events. Napoleon has some ties to the origination of this.

They would let the ladies hold bottles with spirits in them high above their heads in the air and then the soldiers on their steeds would gallop toward them sabers held high and take the bottles head off in one fell swoop.

Holiday time in the French life is a time to enjoy family and friends and spend time with those you do not often get to see. The French take these holidays to heart and since several centuries ago have given their workers the option of having a complete five weeks of holiday time off from work. Workers can use this for whatever holidays they decide upon. I think that would be a custom we would all love to have enforced in our country? - 30021

About the Author:

Everyone feels they want have the French Life. The French really enjoy and savor the holiday seasons and take time to spend them with loved ones and family.

France really is dedicated to the Easter holiday. All of French churches do not ring bells for at least 3 days prior to Easter Sunday. Then On Easter Morning they all chime out all throughout the countryside and townsfolk embrace one another celebrate in the joy that Easter brings.

Instead of little fuzzy bunny that brings the children eggs and candy, the French children believe in the magic of the Flying Bells. They leave three days before the Easter holiday and return on Easter Sunday bringing eggs of chocolate throughout the towns and hiding them in the gardens and households for the kids to find.

France has a glorious Christmas season. Shops and residence are all decked out in holiday cheer. In homes some people still choose to decorate in old world style with candies in delectable arrays and nuts on their trees instead of the more modern glittery and lighted ones others choose to use. Stockings will not be hung by the hearths here, it is shoes instead to be filled by Pere Noel on Christmas Eve.

Trees are not decorated as we do here in the states. They are done up in lovely candies and mixed nuts. Dinners are always served on Christmas Eve night after the Christmas Mass is over. The meal can have delicious recipes from chicken, goose, capon, turkey and a white pudding.

Bastille day is a celebration not really known outside of France. It celebrates the freedom of the downtrodden and misconduct of this famous Parisian prison from the townspeople on the--th of July late 17700's.

There are more such days if you delve further into the history of the French lifestyle.

A wedding tradition in France consists of a member of the wedding party using a special saber to take the head off a bottle of champagne. This tradition supposedly got its origins from horse soldiers called the Hussard of Napoleon.

The troops would let their women friends throw the bottles into the air as they flew by on their trusty steeds and lopped off the bottles head. The French really know how to throw a party and live life to the fullest.

You will always enjoy the holiday time within the French life there is no doubt about it. The decorations and the peoples true joy in the seasons celebrations bring a true feeling of warmth to your hearts. Spending time with their families and loved ones is what all holidays are about, we should add little of this into our own customs as well. I cannot wait to visit France now during one of these inviting holidays next year how about you? - 30021

About the Author:

Everyone wants to have the French Life. Whether it is their food or their lifestyles, they have the reputation for their elegant tastes. This elegant taste includes their furniture since it defines the country with style and grace.

The furniture is not just popular in France; it is very popular in Europe as well as in America. It is noticeable by the laid-back gracefulness that adds a great deal of charm and elegance to any room it is placed.

The first thing that draws the attention of many people is the colors of the furniture. The colors incorporate the Provence and the rural French countryside.

The furniture is made in away it fits well with the decor of homes designed casual or the elegant chateaux.

The French country furniture predominantly uses wood. Different types of woods also used in the creating of the furniture include Mediterranean and coniferous woods. The usual woods used for the furniture are maple, walnut, and pine.

An important aspect of the furniture is the carvings used in the woodwork creating a very important factor of the furniture. The furniture is elegantly designed avoiding the straight cuts usually associated with wood furniture. The swirling curves added to the furniture create extra character to the French country furniture. An example of the style used in the French country furniture is the extremely popular ladder-back chairs that have exceedingly stylized backs, legs, and armrests. The dining tables use a less prominent curve within the designed decor of the furniture.

The typical ingredients of the French country furniture are the armoires, trestle tables, buffet tables, cupboards, dining tables, kitchen tables, beds, and nightstands. Other specialized furniture include bars, corner displays cases, cabinets, study tables, and fireplaces all using the French style.

One of the greatest features with the French country furniture is there are many different varieties. People who build the furniture are free to be unconventional and experiment allowing the same freedoms to be enjoyed by the people who use the furniture in their homes. The one common element of the furniture is the carefree lively style that suites any decor by remaining elegant and chic. Most of the furniture is a constant reminder of the French feudalistic times. The charm of the furniture remains because of the old feel it continues to carry with poise. - 30021

About the Author:

Learn more about french country furniture decor. France is the favourite holiday haunt of many of us and so it's perhaps natural to try living in France.

The English person's most easily accessible part of "abroad", France is a truly beautiful country with very varied landscapes and cultures. It's sometimes referred to as being like the England of the'50's, but this isn't the whole story. It's now a very modern country with its huge telecommunications industry and wide internet usage.

And the language? Well, of course there's been a tradition of learning French in British schools. While this has produced some real lovers of the French language, many British people still almost boast of a national weakness in foreign language learning.

Some British people think that when you're living in France you automatically acquire the language. Must be something in the water! Many older French people never studied English at school and so don't understand our difficulties in learning a second language. They may regard us as rather unintelligent if we can't communicate effectively and think that we really are not very bright about every other part of life.

However, the vast majority of French people react very positively to attempts to communicate in their language and I believe it's essential to make an effort to acquire a working knowledge of French language. By working knowledge, I mean just that . . . something that can be used effectively. It doesn't have to be correct, perfect, well pronounced - it just has to be understandable and therefore effective. It can be frightening to be surrounded by a foreign language, but admitting your lack of understanding while being willing to try goes a long way towards sorting out this situation.

Successful living in France should be certain if you make positive efforts to gain the language.

Try not to be self-conscious when using French. Not necessarily simple to do, but it will make you more confident in your communication and so you'll learn faster.

Of course, some of us are naturally theatrical and can communicate with gestures and facial expressions when words fail. Rewards will probably be the French providing the necessary words and much can be gained from such exchanges.

Not all of us are naturally so self-confident and it might be necessary to really push yourself in just one situation. See how it goes and what you might do next time. Pick a situation which is vital to you personally, for instance a visit to the vet to discuss your dog's health. Think about how you'll describe the dog's condition and even write a little script. This allows you to look up any vocabulary you don't know. Include questions you need to ask. It's often best to start by explaining you're learning French and to ask for the vet to be patient with you and to speak slowly.

Sometimes the reactions you get will not be what you'd hoped for, but we all (including the French) have our off days and you shouldn't let it upset you. Look forward rather than backward and just be more determined for the next time.

Given your interest and determination, what are the best supports to use to work on your French?

There are a growing variety of methods; there are numerous tapes and CDs available with written support; there are some good free on-line courses, e.g. the BBC, Radio France Internationale; there are distance learning courses that you pay for; there are telephone teachers who may also use e-mail; there are traditional books.

You may also find local French courses, and there's also the option of paying a local teacher to come to your home to help one or more family members.

Do think about the methods with which you feel most comfortable and satisfying. You'll then have a better chance of quick progress.

Whatever methods you use, if you are determined to progress, you will do so. Living in France will become an even more enjoyable experience. - 30021

About the Author:

French Life and the joys of French Life have been featured in magazine articles the world over. Start By Learning Basic French Phrases

By Franck Silvestre

Are you interested in learning basic French phrases? If so, then there are a couple of important things to note before you get too far down the learning path.

Having a genuine interest in the French language is the most important thing. If you have such an interest then you can expect to make quick progress. Without enthusiasm for the language then you will always be facing an uphill struggle. In fact, if you don't really care about learning French, then you might well simply be better off trying to learn something else.

As learning French is a challenge, lets refresh you of some reasons why you should learn basic French phrases:

1) You'll be able to communicate with millions and millions of people that you otherwise wouldn't be able to, as French is one of the most popular languages on the planet.

2) You'll be able to appreciate a brand new culture. There are so many great French books, movies, and art pieces that you wouldn't be able to fully appreciate without knowing the language.

3) Your travel options will multiply. Though you can travel to French speaking countries without speaking the language, when you do so you never really get a good feel for the country - something which you'll certainly get when you can speak the language.

Along with the Arabic language, French is one of the most difficult languages to learn. Still, initial progress can be made relatively quickly as the most common sentences and phrases can be picked up without too much difficulty. It is only the technical aspects of the language which are harder than other languages to pick up. For a casual learner, getting to grips with the pronunciation and general speech pattern is all you really to do.

Though it is possible to learn French without the assistance of a teacher, having one will significantly increase the rate of your progress. Should you not have the time or finances to get a teacher's help, then a good alternative is to find yourself a French friend through a language exchange website.

Another alternative is to use your computer to help you learn basic French phrases. There are various CDs and downloadable software programs than can more than adequately teach you French. It is also easy to download French lessons on to your mp3 player, so you can listen to the most common basic French phrases while you are commuting, or at the gym. - 30021

About the Author:

Do you want to learn the basic French phrases you absolutely need to speak like a native? There's a long history of big and small animosities between the two nations and France is physically the closest country to us, so of course we know all about French life. But even with all the stereotypically detracting remarks you hear about the French, their country remains the most visited in the world. And the British continue to move there to live out their French dream.

So, what do we all really know about French life?

Few dispute the fact that French restaurants are excellent. French cuisine is endlessly copied throughout the world, and the French language is often used for menus and cooking terms. Although we often associate the French with "haute cuisine", the day to day home cooking and standard cheap restaurant lunches are another cause for pride. Choice of ingredients and cooking methods interest the French public; choosing a restaurant or a dish in a restaurant can be a matter for heated argument. Food is important and it's this importance that will keep French cuisine at its high standard.

With less overweight and the associated health problems, the French are a good example of how to eat. To eat a full meal at lunchtime with several small courses is better for us. We then have the rest of the day to use the energy and a lighter evening meal allows us to avoid going to bed with a full stomach.

Perhaps the most famous symbol of French life has been the French loaf. The term "French bread" is usually taken to mean the traditional baguette, but there's a huge variety of shapes, sizes and ingredients available. Even going into a boulangerie to buy a baguette, you'll find that there are a great many other long thin loaves which you might have thought were baguettes! Each of these has its own name (which might vary slightly from area to area). The traditional baguette goes stale within a few hours whereas a growing number of other breads, such as multi-cereal, wholemeal and so on, keep longer and this may be why they are gradually gaining in popularity with younger generations.

We know that the French are famous for their cheese but our knowledge of that cheese is sometimes restricted to just one or two sorts. Some people say they hate French cheese because they don't like Camembert, not realising that this is just one out of over four hundred French cheeses with a huge variety of tastes, ingredients, maturing processes, textures, etc.

And so to the wine! French supermarkets offer a wonderful selection at very reasonable prices. It's still a constant topic of discussion and there's a lot of knowledge about the subject. It's usual for a household to possess a "cellar" and to add bottles regularly. Every autumn, the majority of wine outlets have special tastings and offers. Driving through wine producing areas is always fascinating and a continual learning experience.

We may be admiring of the French wines and cuisine, but we are not so happy about how they are made. Whilst farmers and fishermen make up a small percentage of Finch workers, we do become annoyed at their apparently widespread power and there are frequent televised images of angry protesting farmers and others.

Apart from the fantastic wining and dining, the bolshie agriculture sector and the "difficult" administration, what more do we know of the French life?

Cinema is a very well regarded art form so that school children are taken to films from an early age and there are frequent magazine and television discussions on the subject. New films are shown even in remote areas, often in a Salle de Ftes by the local film society. Similarly, libraries in villages may be run by volunteers. The availability of the arts is regarded as important and voluntary work is vital to keep these going.

French people also have reputations for being very well dressed and wonderful lovers!

A strange mixture of images, but there's probably a grain of truth in even the most uncomplimentary! However, there are enough wonderful aspects to French life to make it a very appealing prospect! - 30021

About the Author:

French Life and the joys of living in France have been the subject of many articles, books and even television programmes. Learn French software enables you to learn at a pace that is suitable for you, you're able to customize your learning and you are able to do this all from the comfort of your own home. No more having to drive to lessons, and you can do the lessons at a time that is totally practical for you.

Another benefit of learning french software is that you can progress through the lessons as quickly as you want or as slowly as you need, and you can go over lessons as many times as you want. It's like having your own personal French teacher, but not nearly as expensive. Learning French software is a much less expensive way to learn the language, or you can use it as supplemental learning if you are already taking French lessons.

There are many 'learn to speak French' software packages available on the internet, but any good course should at least teach you the basics of how to read, write and speak French, including grammar skills & vocabulary. The software should be easy to install, use a variety of teaching tools and provide both technical and language support. When choosing learn French software, be mindful of the following:

1. The basic of learning French should be included... of course. This means learning to read, write and speak French (the fluency will come with time and practice) but should also include lessons on pronunciation, vocabulary, listening and comprehension. 2. Easy to use software makes the learning experience a lot more beneficial. If the software is intuitive this is also a good thing. 3. Support from either an email or phone help desk is sometimes needed when the solution to a problem can not be found in the Frequently Asked Questions section or the help guide.

Learning to speak French by using a software program really is an excellent alternative to going to a classroom. You will benefit from being able to customize your learning to your specific pace and style. - 30021

About the Author:

Before you purchase any learn French software online, be sure you check out Michelle Rudge's blog on learn French software, or you can go straight to her blog home page at: www.learnfrenchonline.in-f0.com

privacy policy

Privacy Policy

The privacy of our visitors to this website is important to us.
At this website, we recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums.

We also use third party advertisements on this website to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

DoubleClick DART cookies
We also may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests (”interest based targeting”). The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For example, if you have been viewing sites about visiting Las Vegas, you may see Las Vegas hotel advertisements when viewing a non-related site, such as on a site about hockey). DART uses “non personally identifiable information”. It does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, social security numbers, bank account numbers or credit card numbers. You can opt-out of this ad serving on all sites using this advertising by visiting http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.

disclaimer

CONTENT DISCLAIMER

The information contained in this website is for general information
purposes only.
